VR Projects
As more companies start adopting the idea of moving into the metaverse and filmmakers moving to virtual production, having a skillset in creating virtual scenes proves to be increasingly in demand. Here, I will show you some projects I have worked on pertaining to Virtual Reality.
WASTELANDERS

Wastelanders is a short film by students that follows a father and his gravely ill daughter who set off to find medicine in an apocalyptic world. The film uses Virtual Production as a tool to tell the story better, pushing the boundaries of what student films could be. My role in the project was a visual art creator, where my team and I worked together to create the virtual set of a post-apocalyptic forest and hospital environment. We worked with Unreal Engine 4.27, Maya and Photoshop to bring the scene to life. The shots involving VFX was filmed in the virtual production studio at Aux Media Group.
Here is a short behind-the-scenes video of the day of filming at the virtual production studio:

MARINA BAY SANDS

Temporarily halting business operations for filming can be costly for big companies such as Marina Bay Sands. Virtual Production may be the solution for this.
By using virtual production and filming against an LED wall instead of being on the actual location itself, businesses would not have to stop its operations just to film advertisement campaigns.
This project I was involved in required my group to create a prototype of a replica of the ballrooms in Marina Bay Sands in Unreal Engine. I did photogrammetry of the rooms and worked closely with my group members to model the environment to put into Unreal Engine.
VR Environment

As part of my CG module's final project, I had to create a VR environment using Unreal Engine 5. Heavily inspired by the game Cluedo, I decided to design a vintage mansion with hints of a murder mystery. It was my first time working with Unreal Engine, and the project sparked my interest in game environment designing.
