Audio
Production
Throughout my three years studying in my polytechnic, I have had the opportunity to work on various audio recording and mixing projects, including voiceovers, podcasts and music. Here are some of the projects I would like to showcase:
My Audio Skills
The DAWs I have worked with are Pro Tools and Adobe Audition. Below are some of the works I have produced using either one of the two DAWs.
I have used Adobe Audition for producing a podcast, recording an audio book, as well as song covers. I have used Pro Tools for recording, editing and mixing music.
I believe that my most valuable skillset when it comes to audio is my creativity. I can always come up with ideas to improve or spice up a mix.
In addition to the portfolio I have showcased, I have also had experience with mixing 360° spatial audio during my internship as an experiment.
Storytelling Audio Book
This was my final assignment for my Audio Production module in Year 1. Working on this project required me to immerse myself in the story to be able to think of what kind of music and SFXs I should add to make the story come alive. I absolutely enjoyed the imaginative experience as well as the process of planning, directing, recording, and the editing.
Music Recording
As part of my final project, I had the opportunity to record a band performance in the studio. My role in my group was the Producer, and my duty was to source for a band and to oversee everything including but not limited to, leading the team, taking over the role of the engineer and assistant when necessary, scheduling and managing rehearsal and recording sessions, making sure the recording process went smoothly, discussing and suggesting my ideas to the band on how to improve the recording, and more.
